Ember By Andrews & Wilson

Andrews & Wilson – Ember

The Tier One series is back, and Andrews and Wilson bring an absolute firestorm to the pages within Ember.

John Dempsey, the leader of Ember’s Special Activities Division, is back heading the group after a nasty bout with Russians in Dempsey. While the U.S. President is signing an agreement where the United States will support the Indian defense, former frogman and current Vice President Kelso Jarvis is in Israel visiting a very sick friend.

*Insert poetic pause* Now all hell breaks loose.

At this point, where you think you got a feel for the speed that A&W are delivering another well developing book, bombs, and bullets litter scenes like confetti in New York City on New Years Eve. As bodies start to drop, people are forced into situations and positions that they never believed possible.

Dempsey and team begin the investigation and hunt into who is at fault as they start one of the greatest manhunts of all time. Along with the stress of being forced into a combined effort search including the Indian National Investigation Agency, Dempsey and team learn that there are other bombs that are in play and a potential attack on another prominent country leader. When the bombs start going off and lead starts flying again, Ember is in place to help quell the concert rattle of rifles and small arms fire and keep people safe.

Throughout the entirety of the Tier One series, you’ve had small storylines that are picked up and some that are just mentioned in passing. There are two huge storylines that play into Ember that are going to have huge implications in the future of this series if you can read between the lines. They show an older and wiser Dempsey but also a man who has been torn by the past. The team is growing but the emotions that run throughout the team are the same as they have ever been.

Action packed and fiery in this all-out battle from beginning to end from the dynamic duo of Andrews and Wilson. These two seasoned veterans know how to capture your attention and draw you in and they will wow you non-stop with character development, the necessary antagonists, and the riveting battle scenes. I was thoroughly impressed with this installment and can’t wait to see where the future of this series goes.
