Chances are extremely high that if Marc Cameron is putting words on a page… I’m going to read that page. And once again… I’m happy that I did. The Tom Clancy legacy is alive and well in Chain of Command.
When a corrupt billionaire is hell bent on influencing American policy to enrich himself further, he employs a series of disinformation campaigns and then escalates into direct action against the President of the United States. The question is, how do you come at the most powerful (and protected) man in the world? The answer… is sideways.
Chain of Command is a classic Clancy thriller with layer upon layer of plotlines, high stake consequences, and just the right amount of plausible audaciousness from our villains. Written in Cameron’s succinct and direct style, I absolutely flew through this book.
An added bonus within the pages is the fact that The Campus is on the lookout for additional members. While we get to see our old friends, adding some new blood to the team is going to be interesting. This new character is one I’m going to look forward to reading about in the future.
