Burying the Newspaper Man is a fun and exciting novel by Curtis Ippolito that kept me hooked from the first chapter until the last page.
When Marcus Kemp, a beat cop in San Diego known for his ability to recover stolen automobiles, pops the trunk on yet another recovered car, he’s thrust back into his past. Confronted with the man who abused him as a child, Marcus starts his battle, externally and internally, with how he was the one who ended up opening the trunk of that car.
In a story wracked with twists and turns, Ippolito keeps readers on the edge of their seat with this amazing thriller. Chalked full with action and intrigue, I was gripped early on, and I enjoyed each and every page. Ippolito has a unique writing style which reads more conversational than anything. It’s a refreshing take on the mystery or thriller style of prose.
I think any lover of thrillers or mysteries will enjoy flying through the pages of Burying the Newspaper Man.
