But as the old saying goes, “the only way out is through.” So, the Sky Thieves engage in a cat-and-mouse game to uncover the identity of the billionaire hunting them down with the goal to steal items of incalculable value from that individual that will also highlight the Mentor’s unsavory business dealings. But this heist is unlike anything they have faced before and could be too much for them to pull off. But if they somehow find success, the Sky Thieves just might turn the tables on their enemy and come out victorious while remaining among the living.
If, like me, you haven’t read the prior books in the series, you can expect to feel a little behind as the book starts off by picking up a previous storyline. But it doesn’t take long to get into the plot, understand the situation facing the main characters and then get engrossed in the fight for survival and incredibly daring heist that follows. Yes, it probably helps to have read the prior books, but I can attest to the fact that this book is intriguing and enjoyable on its own merits. Which makes you want to go back and read the prior 3 books in the series to see what other capers this crew pulls off.
Jason Kasper might not be one of the most well-known authors in the thriller genre, but the guy can write a hell of a story with great pacing, intrigue and protagonists you root for. Whether it’s this Spider Heist series or his Shadow Strike series, you know by picking up a book by this author you’re guaranteed a well-written, enjoyable experience. If you’re searching for a new thriller author to check out, look no further. Pick up a book by Jason Kasper and prepare to be entertained.
