My Darkest Prayer takes the reader on an emotional journey with a protagonist that you not only root for to be successful in the current investigation, but that you desperately hope will triumph in life. It is filled with incredibly well-crafted characters – from the corrupt, to the criminals, to the holy, to the righteous to the ones just trying to get through life. Some of whom check more than one of those boxes. Combining these striking characters with exquisite prose, magnificent descriptions and impeccable storytelling results in one hell of a phenomenal novel.
At this point if S.A. Cosby wrote and published a menu for Cracker Barrel, I’d be first in line to purchase a copy. Everything he writes is pure gold and My Darkest Prayer is no exception. A glorious novel by a master of his craft.
